Managing Director
What is your role at Racing Digital
I'm the Managing Director of Racing Digital. My role is to ensure I support and empower the team with unlocking issues and problems so they can keep progressing with delivery whilst ensuring we meet all of our obligations to shareholders and comply with company law. I work with the board, shareholders & broader industry to ensure that not only to we get Racing Digital delivered now, but also set the company up in the right way to support and enhance the platform in the future.
What is your professional background?
I started my career as a logistician in the Ministry of Defence including tours at sea with the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary, I then progressed into more complex and senior capital acquisition and support roles in both the maritime and air domains before moving into the private sector where I started to anchor in digital and data transformation.
What is your connection to racing?
I've very limited previous exposure to horse racing until I joined Racing Digital, however I have grown up around animals including horses and I am really enjoying the industry.
Tell us one interesting fact about yourself
I had my 21st birthday in the Middle East on an operational tour away from family and still had a wonderful time!

Product Manager
What is your role at Racing Digital
Product Manager – I am involved in the creation of requirements and supporting the build and testing processes across our products to ensure they meet the needs of our business users, stakeholders and participants. As well as ensuring that our vision is being met consistently.
What is your professional background?
Racing Administration is my life’s work. Over the last 18 years I have previously worked at Weatherbys and the BHA in roles such as Project Co-ordinator, Business Analyst and Product Owner before being part of the team to get Racing Digital and the RD project from an idea to reality. Over the years I have developed an in-depth knowledge of all things Racing Admin!
What is your connection to racing?
I am a racing fan, having previously worked at Wolverhampton / Worcester Racecourse and William Hill whilst at university, which came from a passion of all things to do with horses.
Tell us one interesting fact about yourself
I have an ex-racehorse (Frank Cool) – as my first horse he’s now living out the dream of a pony-mad kid and for the last year has been taking part in low-level riding club activities, usually against children and their ponies! However, we were awarded the ROR Horse of the Year and Most Improved Showjumper trophies at our riding club awards in 2025 – not bad for our first year of taking part!

Strategic Marketing & Communications Lead
What is your role at Racing Digital?
I joined Racing Digital as strategic marketing and communications lead in Nov 2025 and lead all our external engagement activity including promoting the Hub, how it will benefit the industry, and raising awareness of the excellent work delivered by the rest of the team.
What is your professional background?
I started my communications career at Manchester Utd before working in the defence, property and education markets, as well as on the agency side.
What is your connection to racing?
I’m a fan of racing and felt like my knowledge was fairly up to speed…until joining Racing Digital and finding how many experts we have working in our team
Tell us one interesting fact about yourself
Not about me - I’m quite boring - but my daughter has appeared on Eastenders, unfortunately as a daughter of one of the Slater family.

Chief of Staff
What is your role at Racing Digital?
Chief of Staff, supporting the CEO and leadership team to turn strategy into delivery across people, operations, governance and organisational design. In practice, I help ensure Racing Digital is well-structured, well-run and able to scale effectively, bringing clarity to complex decisions and alignment across teams.
What is your professional background?
I’m a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD with extensive experience in senior people and operations leadership. My background includes organisational transformation, executive advisory work and scaling digital and technology-led organisations, often operating at the intersection of strategy, delivery and governance.
What is your connection to racing?
I have a lifelong connection to horses, having ridden from a young age to mid-teens. While my professional career developed outside the racing industry, working with Racing Digital brings together my passion for horses with my interest in how high-quality data and modern platforms can support the future of the sport.
One interesting fact about yourself
I’m at my happiest outdoors and still jump at the chance to be around my horses and dogs whenever I can
I also used to be a trampolining instructor in a former life, this coincided with also being part of an S Club 7 tribute act (as Hannah) for a short period of time

Product Owner
What is your role at Racing Digital
I’m one of the Product Owners at Racing Digital. In practice this means working closely with stakeholders and development teams, acting as the voice of the user in the development process, prioritising the backlog of work to be done and making sure that the users can get the most value out of the product we’re building.
What is your professional background?
Before joining Racing Digital, I worked at a startup developing communication and client management software tailored to shared ownerships. Earlier on in my career, I completed the BHA graduate scheme, including a placement with Racing Welfare.
What is your connection to racing?
I’m a long-term fan of racing and horses, with hands-on experience across the industry from working on stud farms and riding out, to roles in software development. I’ve also been actively involved in racing clubs and even had the opportunity to ride at Newbury in a charity race.

I’m a qualified rowing coach.

Product Owner
What is your role at Racing Digital
I am responsible for developing and communicating the product vision, managing the product backlog (the features and functionality that we are developing) and working closely with the business stakeholders and development team to ensure that Racing Digital delivers a great end product that meets end user and business needs.
What is your professional background?
I’ve worked in the horseracing industry for over 10 years. I began on the BHA’s graduate development programme in 2015 after finishing university. I then spent seven years at Weatherbys Bank Ltd supporting Racing Bank customers, during which time I also trained as a Business Analyst, before joining Racing Digital as a Product Owner in 2023.
What is your connection to racing?
I've been a racing fan since a fairly young age. I grew up in Towcester, home to a former National Hunt racecourse, and my family had shares in a racehorse which sparked an early interest in the sport. I’ve been a passionate racing fan ever since and still love going racing whenever I can.

I’m a syndicate member myself and have micro shares in a few racehorses!

Business Data Solutions Architect
What is your role at Racing Digital
Title is Business Data Solutions Architect, which is awful, but gloriously non-specific to avoid causing too much ambiguity with other roles. In practice it’s the bablefish between POs, devs and data, with just enough of each to be dangerous.
What is your professional background?
Many years in financial services, specifically commodities and listed derivatives trading and settlement, again usually at the junction of operations, innovation, change and development.
What is your connection to racing?
A lifetime of enjoying the sport through every available non-athletic angle, from underage betting shop ingenue to sometime owner, breeder or both, with a passion for the history of the sport.

What is your role at Racing Digital
Lead Engineer - I work across our engineering teams to guide technical design, unblock challenges, and keep our systems running smoothly. My role is about balancing big-picture solutions with hands-on problem-solving, while setting clear standards for how we build software.
What is your professional background?
Have served as Coder, Development Lead and Technical Architect and Extraordinaire within multiple industries, Automotive, Energy, Internet, Civil Engineering, Government, Retail.
I combine strong technical leadership with a people-first approach—designing robust, scalable systems while mentoring engineers, unblocking challenges, and fostering clear communication. I'm known for turning complex problems into approachable solutions and helping teams build software that lasts.

Software Engineer
What is your role at Racing Digital
Software Engineer: Taking the vision of the Product Owners and building that into a tangible/usable application for our user base
What is your professional background?
Self taught dev, starting out in Network Administration and IT support before pivoting into software. A focus on full stack engineering, specialising in Front end UI/UX, C# and Mobile development.
What is your connection to racing?
None, but I am a lover of all sports

Azure Infrastructure Engineer
What is your role at Racing Digital
My Role is Azure Infrastructure Engineer – I help design and am responsible for deploying and managing the Azure Infrastructure across the Racing Digital estate, both for our Product and Corporate use. As well as help manage our internal IT Systems.
What is your professional background?
My background is primarily government-based IT and Cloud infrastructure projects, and have worked with the National Probation Service, Health & Safety Executive, Nuclear Constabulary and Nuclear Decommissioning Authority but have experience in the Construction, Real Estate and Telecoms industries. I have a broad skillset across IT Infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft 365 but my primary focus now is Cloud Infrastructure.
What is your connection to racing?
This is my first time working in any organisation that’s focused on Racing and I know very little about horse racing (the first race I attended was this year with Racing Digital) but I am looking forward to learning more.

I have a double-jointed thumb… I am also a Capricorn which explains the dull fact about myself.

Chief Architect
What is your role at Racing Digital
My job title is Chief Architect, but my role is varied and wide-ranging, encompassing oversight of (amongst other things) Solution Architecture, IT Operations, Cyber-Security, and FinOps.
What is your professional background?
My first role after graduating from university was as a Software Engineer, creating and developing Pocket PC Apps! Over the subsequent 20 years I have fulfilled roles covering multiple disciplines of IT, over a range of industries. Prior to joining Racing Digital in January 2024, I was working as Head of Technology for a large membership organisation.
What is your connection to racing?
I had no prior experience in the industry before starting at Racing Digital, other than the occasional trip to the races. Growing up, the family did have a couple of horses, but I never really got the bug for riding!

I once appeared on an episode of the Channel 5 daytime quiz show Brainteaser, which I was fortunate enough to win (more luck than skill!)

Senior Dynamics 365 Developer
What is your role at Racing Digital
I am a Senior Dynamics 365 Developer responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business-critical applications across the Racing Digital platform. In practice, this involves working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure and Business Central integrations to deliver new features, improve existing systems and support the digital transformation of racing organisations.
What is your professional background?
I have over 16 years of experience in software development, specialising in Microsoft technologies including Dynamics 365, Power Platform, .NET and Azure. Throughout my career I have worked as both a senior developer and technical lead, focusing on solution architecture, application development, integrations and helping teams deliver complex business systems.
What is your connection to racing?
Prior to joining Racing Digital, I had limited direct involvement in the racing industry. However, working within the sector has given me a real appreciation for the complexity of ownership structures, syndicates, racing clubs and the important role technology plays in supporting owners, trainers and racing organisations across the industry.

Outside of work, I'm currently working towards earning my black belt in karate a long way off but that is my goal.
